Alternate Source for Augers for Mazzer Grinders

Postby markpfaff on Tue Sep 08, 2009 8:24 am

Hey all,

We're looking at modding some of our existing roburs with the whole doserless deal. But it seems that Mazzer is giving distributors the cold shoulder with selling the augers separate. Anyone have ideas on getting this part from some other source? Maybe there's a similar auger-like part out there that could be modified to fit the mazzer grinders? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I'd love to find a few myself as I've been wanting to try the augur mod on a Major that I'm converting to doserless (in hopes of doing a whole batch of them if it works okay). Mazzer claims that it's a safety issue / requirement that the part is strictly factory installed. It has a part number assigned but they would not allow my supplier (who is an authorized Mazzer distributor) to buy it,.
